JOHN PRESTON OPEN AWARDS
In association with the John Preston Memorial Fund we have organised two open awards for young musicians in the Highlands & Islands:

Young Musician 2021

Young Songwriter 2021
Awards such as these are open to anyone between 16 and 30 years, domiciled in the Highlands and Islands including senior school pupils and students in further / higher education.
The purpose is to support and encourage the development of musical ability and excellence in performing and song writing.
Applicants for both awards are invited to submit a recording of their entry which will be considered by a panel of professional musicians and songwriters for each award.

Due to Covid lockdown, the Showcase Finals regrettably had to be cancelled. Instead the awards money was divided equally between the fivefinalists:
